We live in the quiet hamlet of Roundway, on the edge of the North Wessex Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The historic market town of Devizes is within easy walking distance.
We are on the White Horse Trail, Mid-Wilts Way and Wessex Ridgeway and are just 9 miles from Overton Hill & Avebury, the start/finish of The Ridgeway National Trail.
Whether you wish to walk 2 miles a day or 20, we have walks suitable for everyone and can also tailor walks to suit your specific requirements.
The canal, with its famous Caen Hill flight of 29 locks is a delightful 1 mile walk from here and sections of it can be included in many different walks.

Kennet and Avon Canal
The World Heritage Site of Avebury is just 8 miles away and is on The White Horse Trail and the traditional start/finish of The Ridgeway. We have several walks which include Avebury and nearby neolithic sites.
We are also within easy reach of many other tourist attractions, such as Stonehenge, Bath Salisbury and Longleat, as well as lots of other stately homes and gardens.
If you’re a member and would like to incorporate some visits into your stay, we can provide walks to help you get the best from your membership.
Most of our circular walks pass close to pubs providing good lunches or we can provide a picnic. In the evening there is plenty of choice of pubs and restaurants within Devizes and nearby villages.
