The White Horse Challenge is an annual event in which walkers raise money for the
Wiltshire Air Ambulance. This year’s Challenge will be held on the weekend of 19th
& 20th June. 7 of the 8 white horses are visited during this 55 mile walk -
The first day starts in Devizes and finishes in Marlborough and the second starts in Marlborough and finishes in Devizes. You can read more about the Challenge here or click on the logo above.

Quakers Walk
A snowy Southdown
This time last year we were admiring the recent snowfalls. Little were we to know
that they would seem minor in comparison to the winter of 2009/2010. We have had
a lot more snow since Christmas, which severely disrupted our walking plans. Having
said that, we have also had some beautiful, if rather cold, sunny days and I have
finally got going on my target of walking 500 miles this year. This is ‘proper’ walking
-

Walking the white horses
We have now devised longer circular routes to include the white horses. This means that it’s now more feasible to visit all 8 during a week’s holiday, without walking the entire White Horse Trail. Each walk includes 1 or 2 horses and all are circular and include pubs or cafés whenever possible. The walks are between 11 and 16 miles long, using the White Horse Trail and other footpaths. We think this will be a very popular option. If you prefer shorter or longer versions, just let us know and we will tailor the walks to suit your requirements.
